The city of Bath provides a wide range of student housing to suit all wants and needs. The following is a summary of areas that have historically been very popular for Student lettings, however Bath is a small city and as students become more discerning, they are prepared to look any area in order to find that ideal property.

One area that has traditionally been extremely popular for Bath's student population is Oldfield Park. Equidistant from Bath Spa University and the University of Bath, it has a lot to offer in terms of local amenities and proximity to the town centre. Sainsbury's supermarket is a short walk away while the local Co-operative provides all those last minute items! Herbies offers excellent takeaway food to help through those late night study sessions while the Bread Basket bakery will help out with that bacon sandwich for the morning after.

Particularly convenient for Bath Spa University, Weston and Newbridge are beginning to rival Oldfield Park for popularity. Royal Victoria Park provides a beautiful open space nearby, while Picnics delicatessen (and the other excellent local shops at Chelsea Road) will provide everything needed for a day in the park! Locksbrook News is a useful general store while the nearest supermarket is Sainsbury's. The Weston pub does good “pub grub” and has a friendly environment, and the city centre is just a short bus or taxi ride away.

Other students prefer to make their home in Widcombe or other areas of the city centre. This allows them to enjoy the benefits of city centre living while still having excellent access to both Universities via the “Bright Orange Bus” service. Access to Bath's social scene is unrivalled with the added bonus of not having to spend valuable money on a taxi home!
